No excuses...

I have a very dear friend/ Sister who is always trying to encourage me too do more. But the one thing she always tells me is..  "your full of excuses!"
Well.. No one wants to hear that and most get offended by it and why? Because its true! I am the wrolds worst about making excuses and most all of us do! So here is todays challenge...

STOP MAKING EXCUSES! I can't, I dont have time, Im too fat, Im tired, It never worked for me before, its too hard etc.

Theres that negative stinking thinking again! Tell yourself you CAN. As I was watching the Biggest Loser on Monday night, I watched how hard they work! The exercises they do are far more strenuous than the 1/2 mile I slow walked and thought I would pass out over! Body hurting, legs cramping, heart about to pop out of chest, sweat rolling in unpleasant places, fat jiggling, heal spur aching, dizzy, and nauseated! Of course thats exactly how its gonna feel because you/me have been sitting on the couch watching Biggest Loser for 5 seasons while eating a big ol plate of fat and thinking "Dang my hats off to those people cause I CANT DO IT!" So I am here to say on this day Wed January 30, 2013... put down that plate of fat, grab that friend whose been feeling the same as you and hit the walking trail! Go play some ball! Jumping jacks! Whatever it takes to get those muscles screaming, pour some sweat, and get your heart rate going!!! Its now or never! Stop with the excuses and as my sweet friend would say.. "Git er done" :)

Be a Fighter...

Anything worth having is sure enough worth fighting for and quitting is out of the question. When it gets tough you've got to fight some more!

So lets just define the word "fighting" ... Webster says

fighting- is to put forth a determined effort or struggle to endure.

Hmm.. so that means to be a fighter.. we must be one that puts forth a detemined effort and struggle to endure!!!!

Which in turn brings up the word "struggle"... Webster says

struggle- is to proceed with difficulty and strenuous effort.

So 2 times in 2 different definitions we see the word "effort"

Im thinking by now we should be getting the point. If we are gonna make any kind of change in our lives it is gonna take putting forth effort and fighting in which you will most likely feel that sometimes its a struggle.
I myself have always felt like I am a fighter and most of the time I will fight for what I want or what I believe in. But that raises a question even to myself.. then why have I not fought to succeed in the weight loss I have wanted for so long. Have I really wanted it that bad? Have I been lazy? Have I known that it was gonna be a struggle and was afraid of that? Probably a little bit of all of it.
To me its the same as with being a Christian.. Satan is always gonna be there..just like food! Temptation is always gonna be there as with that chocolate cake you love so much! But if you want to fight to the finish for an everlasting life in the Kingdom of GOD and you want to live in a healthy non fat body until you get there.. you cant sit on the couch and wander why your not seeing any results. You have to fight for it. Its a daily struggle to maintain and you must put forth effort to do so!!!! These are 2 things that I feel are worth fighting for.. and if fear is what keeps you from fighting.. 365 times in the BIBLE it says Do Not Fear! So what are you waiting for? Get your mind in fighting mode, put forth some determined effort towards your struggles, and dont be afraid of it!! We can do this...and HE has our back :)

Its been a while since I have been on here to blog and that may be because I havent done so well on my weight loss journey in the last few months. The holidays were not my friend as far as eating goes. From October to January i gained back 20 lbs of the 70 I had lost. In turn I became discouraged and didnt have the desire to do anything about it. After much praying I decided it was time to stop wallering in my sorrows, stop the oh woe is me, and go for it again. So in the last 3 weeks I have lost 15 of the 20 I gained and I am 5 lbs from being back to where I was with the 70 lb loss!
This isnt easy.. probably the hardest thing I have ever had to do but I believe I am back on track and FOCUSED!
Key word there is FOCUSED!! If you do not stay focused on what you going for.. you will not make it there! When temptation comes. Stay Focused. If you mess up... its ok just keep going! Stay focused! I am excited to be back on the right track and focused! Its my prayer that together we can do this!!! So I challenge you too....
